Engaging in therapy takes courage and vulnerability. With 20 years experience of supporting children, youth, and families, my focus is always on building trust and creating a safe space for us to delve into the challenges you face. Together we will work on providing you with insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, improve your communication, and develop strong and healthy coping strategies so that you can face any challenge in the future with courage and confidence in yourself.
I am trained and informed by different models of therapy such as Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solutions Focussed Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy with specialized training in trauma. I have extensive experience in working with children and families who are survivors of abuse, trauma, or domestic violence. I am a Registered Social Worker and have a Master's Degree in Social work. I practice from an anti-oppressive framework.
Phil Robbins, MSW, RSW
I provide individual and group counselling to adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, and parenting issues. I have a special focus on men who have challenges with anger and interpersonal difficulties. I also provide couples counselling using the approach of relational empowerment to help couples with goals such as increasing closeness, navigating conflict, and coping with infidelity.
My philosophy is that EVERYONE is capable of making meaningful changes no matter what your experience has been, and I will listen and respond with care and respect, and support people to uncover what they do best and use that to make helpful changes, and to feel better!
I am a Registered Social Worker and have a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
